Cookies

What cookies are used on myToys.com and why do they need to be enabled?

To be able to use the shopping basket on myToys.com, you must enable cookies in your browser.

Cookies are text files containing specific pieces of information which are stored on a user's computer when he/she visits a website with the aid of a web browser.

myToys.com uses what are known as permanent cookies, but they have no link to a specific person's identity. Such permanent cookies allow you, for example, to view your basket, your favorites list, the current value of your basket and the products you have recently viewed while browsing different pages. You can view these things even if you return to myToys.com after having closed your browser.

If the "permament cookies" are disabled, these functions cannot be implemented and the shopping basket cannot then be used.

How to change the cookie settings in your browser:

Internet Explorer:

  • Click on "Tools" in the upper menu bar and select "Internet Options".
  • When you click on the "Privacy" tab, you will see your cookie settings. The standard setting selected here is "Medium", which means that your browser accepts cookies.
  • You can change this setting by moving the slide control until your preferred setting is selected.
  • If your setting is set to "User-defined", click on the Advanced button. Place a tick in the check box "Always allow permanent cookies" here.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Select the menu command "Tools" and click on "Options".
  • Select "Privacy", switch to "Use custom settings for history" and then enable the option "Accept cookies".
