Revell X-Ray Spider

The spider belongs to the family of insects. They only have two body sections and no chewing organs or wings but eight legs instead of six.

Over 40,000 different types are known, although only about 200 of these can cause health problems for people. Tarantula is the common name of the hairy representative of the bird spider family of which about 900 types have been identified. Members of this family can be as big as your fingernail or as big as your plate.

They can be found in the tropics as well as in arid regions. The carry poison, although this is only used to anaesthetize their victim and people are usually not at risk.

Important: The educational nature of the model is central, the model can be regarded as part of the experimenting and learning process.

The different species of animals can be very well described by means of the model's very detailed and convincing reproduction. They are comparable to the anatomical models which we know well from Science lessons.

An eight page booklet included with each model kit contains all important scientific information about the species and its anatomy as well as assembly instructions. This means that you learn plenty about the animal whilst assembling the individual body parts, bones and organs.
